Mini-Brow Lift in Washington DC

Mini BrowWHAT IS A MINI-BROW LIFT?

A mini-brow lift is also known as a “short incision” brow lift.  Although scars are short, the technique gives excellent results with hidden scars. It is a tried-and-true approach in Dr. Rad’s hands and he uses this technique for patients of all ages and who have greater “lateral hooding” of eyebrow and eyelid tissues requiring greater lift than what an endoscopic approach can achieve. The mini-brow technique is a highly specialized technique and requires a certain level of skill to avoid visible scars and to achieve perfect symmetry. Not every surgeon is capable of performing it to Dr. Rad’s standard.

Procedure Cost

WHAT IS THE COST OF A MINI-BROW LIFT?

Cost of the endoscopic brow lift ranges $8,500 – $10,000.  Final cost depends on many factors and an in-person consultation is recommended for accurate final pricing. The endoscopic brow lift is a meticulous operation and requires a certain level of skill to perform accurately and safely.  Keep in mind that cost is a reflection of the skill and experience which should never be compromised.

BEFORE + AFTER

Dr. Rad routinely performs brow lift surgery in combination with, or independently of, Face Lift and Open Neck Lift surgery. This 67 year old woman had moderate forehead and eyebrow droop and she was concerned that she appeared to be sad and fatigued. She also had severe superficial sun damage from years of outdoor activities and she desired improvement of her skin texture. Dr. Rad performed a short incision brow lift, Open Neck Lift, SMAS Imbrication Face Lift, Facial Fat Grafting, and Upper Blepharoplasty. Dr. Sherber performed intra-operative Pearl Fractional Laser for skin textural improvement.

For patient privacy reasons, the majority of Dr. Rad’s patients prefer their before/after photos to remain off-line. However, Dr. Rad will be happy to show you, in the setting of a confidential consultation, a series of before/after photos, not displayed here, to address your specific concerns.

    Mini-Brow Lift Q+A

The “mini-brow lift” technique is best for patients of all ages whose forehead skin is moderately wrinkles. Dr. Rad uses this technique to smooth forehead skin and to elevate the eyebrows by 2-3 mm (a modest elevation).  Unlike the endoscopic approach, the mini-brow lift is effective in smoothing wrinkled forehead skin, but it is not effective in changing the position of the hairline or weakening the the frown muscles. To move the hairline position back, the endoscopic is ideal, whereas to move it forward the coronal approach is best.

Swelling and bruising are mild and may occur in the upper eyelids because gravity pulls fluid downward. With regular icing and moderation of physical activity swelling and bruising typically resolve in a matter of days.  The extent of surgery and variability in each patient’s tissue healing will impact recover and Dr. Rad will guide you. However, Dr. Rad performs the least amount of surgery to achieve the result so you can be sure your recovery is the shortest possible..
