Dr. Sherber works with patients and their individual concerns to tailor a treatment plan for optimal results. Scars may be pink, hyperpigmented, raised and ropey, widened, or sunken (atrophic) and some people have a tendency to develop hypertrophic scarring or keloids. Each of these requires a different approach. Alongside treatments and procedures, we will also customize a topical regimen including photoprotection for scars in sun-exposed areas, tension offloading for scars in areas of strong muscle movement, topical brighteners for hyperpigmented scars, and anti-inflammatory silicone-based gels to reduce hypertrophy and to speed healing.
