Dr. Rad uses silicone (not saline) for implant reconstruction. Implants are FDA-approved and are ideal for patients who want the least amount of surgery and who do not need radiation treatment. This 36 year old woman had bilateral prophylactic mastectomies due to the fact that she has the BRCA1 gene mutation which predisposed her to developing breast cancer. Dr. Rad treated her first with Tissue Expanders, followed 3 months later with exchange to 650 cc silicone gel implants.

This 34 year old woman had a right mastectomy for cancer treatment, and a left prophylactic mastectomy for prevention. Dr. Rad performed in one stage with teardrop silicone implants and acellular matrix sling.

This 51 year old woman underwent left mastectomy for cancer treatment, and a right prophylactic mastectomy for prevention. She underwent staged reconstruction with tissue expanders followed by LSGAP Love Handle Flaps, and Nipple Reconstruction.
